AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO THE DNA IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM FUND TO PURCHASE EQUIPMENT AND HIRE PERSONNEL FOR THE OPERATION OF THE DNA IDENTIFICATION SYSTEM.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thirty-seven thousand dollars ($237,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the DNA identification system fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 and subsequent fiscal years for the purpose of purchasing equipment and hiring personnel to operate the DNA identification system. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of any fiscal year shall not revert to the general fund.
