AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO PROVIDE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT SERVICES FOR THE NAVAJO NATION.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--Two hundred thousand dollars ($200,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of contracting with the Navajo nation for provision of emergency management services for the areas of the Navajo nation located in New Mexico. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.
