SENATE FLOOR AMENDMENT number _______ to SENATE BILL 559, as amended

Amendment sponsored by Senator Carroll H. Leavell

1. Strike Senate Ways and Means Committee Amendments 1 and 2.

2. On page 4, line 24, after "means" insert a colon and the subparagraph designation "(a)".

3. On page 5, line 2, after the semicolon insert "or".

4. On page 5, strike lines 3 and 4 and insert in lieu thereof:

"(b) any part of the rural area that is not within the exterior boundaries of a municipality;

(9) "tier two area" means any municipality within the rural area if the municipality's population according to the most recent federal decennial census is more than fifteen thousand; and".
