REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS TO ESPANOLA MUNICIPAL SCHOOLS IN RIO ARRIBA

COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the state department of public education

seventy thousand dollars ($70,000) to upgrade heating and cooling units for various Espanola schools in Rio Arriba county;

fifty thousand dollars ($50,000) for the Espanola municipal schools to meet the requirements of the Americans with Disabilities Act of 1990 in Rio Arriba county;

twenty-five thousand dollars ($25,000) for security fencing at Abiquiu elementary school in Rio Arriba county;

seventy thousand dollars ($70,000) to re-roof Dixon and Hernandez elementary schools in Rio Arriba county;

three hundred thousand dollars ($300,000) for additional classrooms at Hernandez and Abiquiu elementary schools in Rio Arriba county; and

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for the next phase of improvements to Espanola middle school in Rio Arriba county.
