REQUESTED BY

FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS IN SAN MIGUEL COUNTY.

I request that the following capital outlay projects be funded:

• to the department of environment

one million six hundred seventy thousand dollars ($1,670,000) to plan, design and construct solid waste convenience centers in San Miguel county;

• to the state highway and transportation department

three million three hundred thirty-seven thousand five hundred forty-two dollars ($3,337,542) to improve roads in San Miguel county;

• to the local government division of the department of finance and administration

five hundred thousand dollars ($500,000) for phase II construction of the county health facility in San Miguel county;

one million five hundred thousand dollars ($1,500,000) to construct and equip fire substations in San Miguel county;

one hundred ninety-eight thousand eight hundred ninety-four dollars ($198,894) to purchase vehicles and equipment for the San Miguel county sheriff's department;

six hundred thousand dollars ($600,000) to replace and upgrade computer systems, technology and a geographical information system to correct year 2000 defects in San Miguel county; and

three million five hundred thousand dollars ($3,500,000) to repair and renovate the county courthouse in San Miguel county.
