REQUESTED BY

FOR TELECOMMUNICATIONS INFRASTRUCTURE DEVELOPMENT IN PUBLIC SCHOOLS STATEWIDE.

I request that the following capital outlay project be funded:

• to the state department of public education

three million two hundred forty thousand dollars ($3,240,000) to provide telecommunications infrastructure development in all public school classrooms and to equalize infrastructure inequities in the schools; provided that the department, in consultation with the council on technology in education, shall develop criteria for the equitable distribution based on the needs of each school district and the size of the school district.
