SUMMARY



Synopsis of Bill



House bill 90 makes a general fund appropriation for a program serving the southeastern area of the city of Albuquerque that provides a variety of reintegration services for criminal offenders who are transitioning back into society.



Significant Issues



According to LGD, this appropriation "to deal with a recurring problem may not be enough funding to start the program, and may duplicate services currently provided."



FISCAL IMPLICATIONS



This bill makes a general fund appropriation of $150.0 to LGD, DFA for this program.



RELATIONSHIP



Relates to House Bill 116 which also appropriates funds for reintegration services for women to be contracted by the Family and Community Services Department of the City of Albuquerque.
