SUMMARY



Synopsis of Bill



House Bill 386 provides a general fund appropriation of $40.0 to the LGD to provide operational and staffing funds for emergency medical services in the village of Cochiti Lake located in Sandoval county.



FISCAL IMPLICATIONS



The bill makes a general fund appropriation of $40.0 to the LGD for the purpose stated above for expenditure in FY2000. Unexpended our unencumbered balances remaining at the end of FY2000 revert to the general fund.



DUPLICATION/RELATIONSHIP



In prior years, yearly appropriations have been authorized for leasehold community assistance through House Bill 2 through the special appropriations section within DFA. The town of Cochiti lake is the only entity eligible for this appropriation. The General Appropriations Act of 1998 included $116.0 for the town of Cochiti lake for FY99. The proposed House Appropriations and Finance Committee substitute for House Bill 2 of the 1999 regular legislative session includes $131.2 for leasehold community assistance, Cochiti lake.
