Synopsis of Bill



House Bill 602 appropriates $500.0 from the general fund to provide services to the senior citizens of the Pueblo of Laguna.



Significant Issues



The Laguna Pueblo currently receives $56.0 from the State Agency on Aging for congregate and home delivered meals, transportation, information, and assistance services. They also receive $106.4 from a federal Title VI appropriation. These funds would be for increased services.



FISCAL IMPLICATIONS



The bill appropriates $500.0 from the general fund for expenditure in fiscal year 2000. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of FY 2000 will revert to the general fund.



ADMINISTRATIVE IMPLICATIONS



Presently, the Laguna Rainbow Corporation is the designated service provider to senior citizens at Laguna Pueblo.
