SUMMARY



Synopsis of Bill



HB809 proposes to divert $8 million of the motor vehicle excise tax from the general fund to the road fund for planning, designing, engineering, constructing and improving US62-180 from Carlsbad to Whites City.



FISCAL IMPLICATIONS



This bill proposes an $8 million reduction in the general fund with a commensurate increase in the road fund.



A portion of this project is already funded using federal highway funds.
