AN ACT

MAKING AN APPROPRIATION TO FUND COMMUNITY OUTREACH AND SERVICES FOR HOMELESS PEOPLE WHO ARE MEMBERS OF INDIAN TRIBES IN FARMINGTON; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY.



BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF NEW MEXICO:

Section 1. APPROPRIATION.--One hundred thousand dollars ($100,000) is appropriated from the general fund to the New Mexico office of Indian affairs for expenditure in fiscal year 2000 for the purpose of providing community outreach and services to homeless people in Farmington who are members of Indian tribes to encourage reintegration of those people with their families and tribes. Any unexpended or unencumbered balance remaining at the end of fiscal year 2000 shall revert to the general fund.

Section 2. EMERGENCY.--It is necessary for the public peace, health and safety that this act take effect immediately.
